Data Driven Training
From conception V1 Software was designed to provide data to enable data driven training.

Why data driven training?
For safety - it is best practice

ICAO
“Projected rapid global growth in commercial aviation makes a pragmatic, data-driven approach to pilot training essential to the continued improvement of the
industry’s safety performance..."

Flight Safety
"It is time to take a data-driven, pragmatic approach and, therefore, to support the following…Data-driven training programs that are continually updated, based on pilot task-level performance".  (https://flightsafety.org/asw-article/pilot-training-and-competency/)

From Theory to Practice
With V1 Software's TEAMs data driven training is immediately available. All assessments are performed online, making the data available for analysis. Whether the assessment is legacy, CBTA or EBT ...whether it is an initial, recurrent, route/line check, LOSA, etc. the data is there, available for analysis. Standard graphical reports, with drill down capabilities are provided, and all data can be easily downloaded to MS Excel at the click of a button. Use data analyses to tailor training interventions to improve your specific operational safety is so much easier than you think.

What's to see
Graphical drill down reporting including trending by fleet, by pilot, by instructor, by course/assessment, by year and more. Analyzing the reports must be done with care, for example, whilst one Instructor may seem 'stricter' than others the training types must be considered - if the 'strict' Instructor does more initials than other Instructors then that is to be expected. A classic case of comparing apples to apples... Our reporting caters for this possible anomaly.

Ease of Use
At the click of a button

Who - When - What - How
It is pointless having graphical and data reports that are not available to the appropriate people when required. Our TEAMs systems allow the operator to determine who, when, what and how the graphs and data are made available to the necessary staff and or authorities.

Different roles always have different requirements.
Training Instructors have a different role to Route/Line Checkers. Route/Line Checkers assess what they see, as would LOSA Observers. Training instructors evaluate, train and assess - this would intimate that a Training Instructor could benefit from identifying common strengths and weaknesses of a trainee by having access to the graphical reporting. Thereby, maximizing the limited time available in the sim to concentrate on the aspects that could yield the best outcome for both the trainee and operato
r. Fleet Training Captains can use the trending to identify how to best compile recurrent training to address common fleet weaknesses identified by the data. Route/Line Check analyses versus Recurrent or Initial training analyses can identify anomalies between training and line operations that require training interventions.

Transparent and Auditable
Individual users (Pilots, Cabin Crew, etc.) can see their own performance against the fleet or the operator as a whole identifying where they can improve. Local authorities, IOSA Safety Manager and staff can use the system for audit, QA and QC purposes. V1 Software reporting has been successfully used in many AOC, IOSA, Part 141 ATO, etc. audits. It simply makes these audits much easier and less stressful.

EBT/CBTA
Evidence Based/Competency based Training

Evidence
The aim of Evidence Based Training (EBT) is to assess the competencies required by pilots in order to operate safely, effectively and efficiently in a commercial air transport environment by managing the most relevant threats and errors based on evidence collected in operations and training. Therefore, to successfully implement EBT data driven training becomes a pre-requisite as it relies on data and data analysis.

Flexibility
Evidence Based Training (EBT) allows operators to compile and conduct training that matches their specific operational requirements, thereby enhancing safety - every operator may have unique syllabi. Furthermore, each operator may have a different grading methodology, especially with regards to Behavioral Indicators/Observed behaviors (BIs/OBs) and their relation to Competencies. V1 Software caters for a number of grading methodologies and will customize the system to meet your requirements, if required.

Data Analysis
All data captured from assessments is available for analysis via our Business Intelligence functionality. Standard reports include drill down functionality and additional reports can be customized to meet your specific requirements. All data is also easily downloadable into MS Excel at the click of a button. Multiple selections are available to refine your analyses.

Authorities and Auditing
All reports and data can be accessed anywhere, anytime. Access to the reporting can be assigned to your local authority and or safety managers - be that always or just during audits, or when applying for upgrading the phase of EBT (eg: mixed to baseline).
